Village Hall - Registered Charity No.273399
Albourne lies just north of the South Downs in a quiet rural location with some of the most splendid views in this area. The central and main part of the parish is called simply 'The Street' and amongst a great variety of residential buildings, from flats to mansions, there dwells the hives of activity - the primary school, the Millennium Garden and the VILLAGE HALL.
Built in 1977 after much hard work and fundraising by the villagers this building has become home to various regular users - the Parish council, Albourne Under Fives Group, Puppy dog training sessions, as well as the regular film shows in the autumn and winter season. In addition the hall is available for individual uses for parties, discos, weddings, christenings, and many more activities.
Recent upgrades include fitting of a new kitchen and refurbishing of the interior walls and wood work and provision of new stage and side curtains together with concealed overhead spotlights . This has given the hall not only a brighter cleaner look but a new lease of life. The table tops have been replaced with ten modern lightweight fold up tables and four coloured low tables for the children from fund raising events put on by the Village Hall Management.
If you are looking for a venue for your event then what could be nicer than a newly redecorated and refurbished hall with its own car park and adjacent to the village recreation and playground lying in the countryside yet still within easy reach of Brighton, Crawley, Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill and other surrounding villages and towns.
Please contact Jenny with your booking or for more information. Some regular space is still available. Booking forms are available on this web page.
